ABOUT

ABOUT / ALISSA

As a coach, I specialize in helping high functioning individuals and couples navigate painful elements of their relationships. I help people take what’s good in their relational lives and expand their capacity for connection, authenticity, honesty, and joy. Sometimes, this also looks like helping people grieve and let go of relationships that are no longer possible.

My earliest exploration of healing work began from my own place of pain. It was a wandering path, but I’m grateful to have studied and practiced spiritual, physical, and psychological approaches to healing. After a decade in the mind-body and fitness space, I decided to shift my focus towards life coaching and relationship coaching. I earned my certificate in Transformational Life Coaching from NLP Marin in 2018 and went back to school to earn my masters in Counseling Psychology in 2019.

I hold the inseparability of mind, body, and spirit at the center of my world and work. Through the various iterations of my career, I’ve been privileged to help adults from age 25 - 75 from across the globe and economic spectrum make hard-won changes to their minds, bodies, and relationships. I’ve been gifted tremendous lessons in humility, strength, humor, and resilience in return.

By nature I’m an artist and adventurer. I love to laugh as much as I love to get down to brass tacks. My roles in the world are as a mother, partner, sister, daughter, and community member. I love to dance, sing, travel, and play in the outdoors.

We live in a polarized world. I’m values driven, but my guiding principle is to work with the human inside the person in front of me, regardless of identity or politics. I welcome all kinds of people to my practice (within reason—nut cases need a therapist, not a coach). I rejoice in serving the aimless, the artist, the tech bro, and the retired, the stay at home parents and the over worked parents, the childless and the childish, the queerest and the straightest, the most poly and the most monogamous, the old-souls and the young-at-heart, the spiritual and the pragmatic realists, the immigrant and the rooted since their great great great greats were walking around.

If you laughed a bit, we might be a fit.
